Vicky Wilson is a campaigner for tenants’ rights who wants to stand in the upcoming council elections in May.
Labour was elected in 2024, promising to bring ‘change’, but in Hastings, like everywhere else, we still have poverty wages, rising prices, a housing crisis and crumbling public services. Our environment is being trashed, and we seem to be involved in never-ending wars. Millions of people are struggling while senior politicians and their rich and powerful friends have been exposed as corrupt and depraved.
A local councillor can’t overturn this rigged system, but what we need more than ever is representatives like Vicky – someone who knows what it’s like to struggle as a tenant and a mother of a severely disabled child – who can help organise our communities to speak up for ourselves.
Hastings People’s Party is supporting Vicky’s campaign, and we urge everyone else to do the same! Come out and support her election meeting in the Ore Community Centre on Tuesday 17 March – sign up on the Eventbrite – or contact Vicky directly to offer support in the election if you want her to stand – vicky4ore@gmail.com
